Sime Darby Berhad via Sime Malaysia Region Berhad owns 60% of Sime Darby Lockton Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd.
Sime Darby is a Malaysia-based diversified multinational and the world's largest plantation company with operations in over 20 countries. It is involved in plantations, property, motors, industrial equipment, energy and utilities, and healthcare amongst others.
In November 2007, Sime Darby merged with two other Malaysian plantations giants - Golden Hope Plantations and Kumpulan Guthrie
- creating a new organisation with market capitalisation of approximately RM54.08bn (US15.95bn) as of 19 November 2009.

Lockton International owns 40% stake of Sime Darby Lockton Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd.
Founded by Jack Lockton in Kansas City, Missouri in 1966, Lockton International is now the world's largest privately owned
global insurance broker. In the fiscal year of 2006, the company posted USD409.2 million revenues where it held formidably
high client retention rate of 95% (industry average is 85%) in the US. The company has over 3700 risk professionals worldwide
and provides financial and risk services to small, medium and large businesses and to invidual clients.
